Where do I begin? It's awesome! No more raking by hand! Not everyone can handle the intense heat and the labor of raking, then picking all that mess up. Oh my gosh - GAME CHANGER! Let's talk assembly. Had to use vice grips to keep the handle's bolt's still to turn the knob (see photo). Not a big deal - just a little problem solving. Of course it comes with the scarifier installed and I needed the dethatcher attachment (see pics-I rolled the machine upside down). The mounting bracket with the 2 hex screws was out of alignment. Ultimately - I lightly tapped that end cap {with the tines on it} on the driveway - fixed (see photo)! Got it all together, plugged it in ....... WOW!! I've got Floritam (St. Augustine variety) grass. Kinda stayed in one spot too long when I just got started. It was on the highest setting so I don't rip up the entire lawn. Did an amazing job of 'raking'. The bag fills quickly - but my lawn has not been raked since it was put down as sod pieces - over 3 years of mulching. It's light to make the turns. It doesn't throw dust in my face. I emptied the catch bag on every pass. It will spill out if the bag is maxed out. No big deal, just go over it again, and it will get sucked back up. No pushing required!!! This is self propelled! Alleluia! And it does an AWESOME job as a powered 'rake'. Fantastic purchase and it was a terrific price. After I mow, from now on, I'm going to 'rake' with this so I don't have a 55 gallon waste pail full of thatch anymore! Fabulous. Yes, some regular grass is in the mix. Not much. It needed to be rejuvenated. Yes, it comes with a 3 year warrantee and I purchased another 3. ;)

It does a great job of dethatching but the collection bag may be too small for big yards. In my case the bag fills too quickly and while it's easy to remove, it is quite difficult to put it back on. I found it less annoying to just thatch and then rake the clippings into piles. As for customer service, the unit arrived with a small broken part on the spring hinge. I asked for replacement and sent pictures of this 1-1/2 inch part and the company responded quickly and solved the problem. Overall it's a great little machine and customer service proved to be excellent.

This is the best purchase I made this year. Easy to assemble, easy to operate and this thing works great. Follow the tip of not using bag first few times as there will be a lot of thatch. This little thing is powerful, easily tearing up everything at the base of my grass. It even seems to be leveling my lawn. I can adjust setting and go deeper in the soil but paceing myself. Great price for a great tool. Highly recommend.

Easy to assemble. Directions were concise and easy to follow. I used it to de-thatch an area that needed to be reseeded. It did a very good job. It would be nice if the catch bag was a little bigger but I just kept a wheelbarrow nearby to empty frequently.
